Hunt County Criminal Records

Hunt County criminal records are official documents that provide information regarding the criminal history of individuals within the county. They include information on Hunt County arrest records, convictions, sentences, and corrections.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) maintains a statewide system for criminal records and criminal history reports for all counties. Through the personal review system, individuals interested in accessing their criminal history record information (CHRI) must schedule a fingerprint scan.

Generally, the DPS requires a fingerprint to check CHRI. The scan may be done at a DPS Fingerprint Applicant Services of Texas (FAST) online or by calling (888) 467-2080. Photo identification and fee payment are required at the fingerprint appointment. The fingerprint hand card obtained from this scan should be, along with the requester’s names, sex, race, and date of birth, to the fingerprint vendor. The search result will be sent to the designated recipient provided by the requester. A fingerprint scan costs $10, and a CHRI search costs $15. For more inquiries, call (512) 424-5079.

To request criminal history records of other individuals, visit the Criminal History Search website. This web portal may be used to search offenders with Class B misdemeanors, Class C convictions, or higher. Interested parties have to create an account and buy credits for every search to be done. Search credits cost $3, and an additional fee depending on the payment method used to buy credits. If the record requested is not on the website, call (512) 424-2474.

The Hunt County Criminal Investigations Division also provides criminal records search services for the county. To request a copy of a criminal record, fill out the open records request form and submit it between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday:
